The area around Donnell Lake also has some nice places to eat. The Friendly Grille and Tavern is just a short drive from the lake. Sherry Lee’s Bar and Grill is also a local favorite. Past Diamond Lake, there are also places like Broadway Cafe and The Twirl.

Swimming: Donnell Lake is a popular spot for swimming. The waters are clear and calm.
Boating: Visitors can rent boats, canoes, and kayaks to explore Donnell Lake. There is also a public boat launch on the south side of the lake.
Fishing: Donnell Lake is a great lake to fish, with opportunities to catch perch, northern pike, bass, crappie, and bluegill.
Hiking: The area around Donnell Lake will have a lot to offer hikers. TK Lawless Park has miles of trails to hike. Spirit Springs Sanctuary is only about 20 minutes away.
Golfing: There are many golf courses to enjoy in the area. Diamond Lake Golf Course is just a short drive away by Diamond Lake. Spruce Ridge Golf Club and Four Lakes Country Club are also within a half-hour drive.
Skiing: Skiing is available during the winter months. You could be at Swiss Valley Ski & Snowboard Area in under 20 minutes. There are also cross-country ski trails at TK Lawless Park.
